This tour is aimed at those who are limited in time but would love to experience a bit of the best off road biking that Morocco has to offer.A total of 4 days riding plus your days of arrival and departure.Nearly 90 per cent of the tour is off road with spectacular trails combined with dramatic mountain landscapes and awesome views.The night out in the desert is also a tour highlight plus:•Beautiful winding trails, gorges, rocky climbs and some big wash-outs•2,500 m mountain passes with wonderful scenery•River crossings with and without water!•Sandy river beds and vast dry lake beds•Isolated Mountain VillagesDay 1 Arrival Ouarzazate (or Marrakech)Ouarzazate Airport transfer is free to our 4 star hotel in town only about 5 minutes away.Marrakesh Airport is 4 hours journey to our hotel in Ouarzazate. (Transfers extra)Day 2 (approx 230 k)A very pleasant day´s riding giving you time to get accustomed to the bike and the terrain. After breakfast approx 6 k on road then off into the countryside heading west on a sweeping trail.Then off road it is, predominantly hard packed soil mixed with short rocky sections, river crossings and small villages. Some long sections of undulation trail, twisting through the hills with not a rock in sight.After 100k we head south east and lunch time stop. We then wind our way down through the Anti High Atlas Mountains to the town of Agdz. Refuel and time for a coffee. Its 30 k off road through the palmaraie, hugging the river Draa before we hit the asphalt. Here we head due east for 22k on road stopping at our night´s accommodation in the village of N´Kob. Staying the night in an old converted Kasbah.Day 3 (approx 250 K)After breakfast we head south towards our destination for the night - the desert jaima. Super fast twisting tracks and riverbeds that eventually lead us onto the enormous dry lakebed of Lac Maider and to a small Auberge.From here we bike through feshfesh and wind our way through sandy dry riverbeds to where we refuel at Remilia. The final 20 k through dunes to our night´s stop at the desert bivouac with hot showers.Situated close to a large area of middle sized dunes, in the late afternoon/early evening, once the sand has cooled down, fuel permitting those wanting more biking can go and play in the dunes or alternatively walk to the top.Day 4 (approx 270 k)Leave the bivouac after breakfast back through the dunes to Remlia to refuel. Turning north we pass through another section of fesh fesh and onto very fast tracks across a never ending dry lake bed; along winding sandy trails and riverbeds.We stop for our picnic and refuel from the 4x4 and then carry on to the village of Al Nif to refuel again. We have now left the desert. Continuing on our Northerly route we cross the Jebel Saghro mountains, twisting trails and dramatic rock formations until we come out onto the plateau which leads us to our next night´s accommodation.A 4 * hotel with very unusual decoration, a cold pool with a hot Jacuzzi on the roof and excellent buffet meals. On arrival you can arrange to have massage, sauna or hammam to remove any aches caused by today´s long ride.Day 5 (approx 190 k)After breakfast we go up the Dades Gore and off easterly following the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Undulating, fast sections interspersed with rocky trails through major washouts and gullies, bringing us onto a plateau where we take out picnic lunch.Onwards across several river crossing followed by trails winding their way down the beautiful river gorges before the final 20 k of fast tracks which will bring us back to Ouarzazate.After dropping the bikes at the our garage and checks with our mechanic Hussein. This has made things both more interesting for you, the riders, as well as allowing as many as 5 different small groups to be operating at their own comfortable speed between the guide with the faster lead group and the assistance vehicle following behind, completely removing the feeling of holding up the faster bikers that the slower paced bikers used to feel.When out on tour, at least one of our mechanics travels in the assistance vehicle.This carries our medical equipment - such as vacuum stretcher, defibrillator, splints and oxygen, a very extensive first aid box, a fridge, compressor, tools & spare parts, a permanent satellite phone link, as well as your baggage.Our guide also carries a first aid kit as well as small pieces of medical equipment in his backpack.The assistance vehicle has limited space to carry luggage so we supply a barrel type soft bag for all our clients to put their personal effects and clothing for the tour. Only this bag permitted. Bear in mind you will be in biking gear most of the time.
